Yes, but what is mindfulness?

Mindfulness is about learning to be fully present, to be aware of who you are and the sensations that arise in your body or mind when you’re under stress, or when you’re overwhelmed or upset.
Mindfulness teaches you to self-regulate stress and find inner peace.

Mindfulness Mentorship

I am honoured to serve as a mindfulness mentor at Cloud Sangha, an international organisation that supports others in their spiritual practice.

I came to Sydney Mindfulness Training at the most horrendous point in my professional career. I was at rock bottom – depressed (and I don’t use that word lightly), resentful, angry, full of remorse, anxiety, paranoia and humiliation. I hadn’t slept for more than 2 – 3 hours (broken) per night in at least six months and I was scared to face up to my own story. Eight weeks later I am a completely new person. A few of my fellow course mates have told me I look different, I sound different, and that I’m so far from the person they met when the program began. Rita’s guidance around MBSR is like nothing I have ever experienced. I listened carefully, I followed the structured coursework, and from the 3rd or 4th week I could literally feel my entire mindset, thought process, and brain changing. I am now sleeping solidly, I plan to keep mindfulness a regular part of my life indefinitely, and I am ready to embrace my reinvention and start a new professional life. Rita and the 8-week MBSR course in Sydney have helped me step calmly and mindfully off the hideous emotional rollercoaster I was trapped on and clearly focus on what lies ahead. My words don’t do it justice. My thanks don’t do it justice. I just know how incredible this course was for me. I’ll be forever grateful to Rita, Vasi and my fellow participants who were there every step of the way.
